Overview
The Western Front 1917: Captain Blackadder joined the British Army when it was little more than a travel agency for gentlemen with an abnormally high sex drive. Now he's twenty yards from a lot of heavily armed people who want to kill him. Worse still, his brother officer is a man whose family brain cell is gathering dust in a pawn shop in Dunstable, and Baldrick is in charge of cooking.

Episodes:

1. Captain Cook
With a bit of trickery and abuse of George's sole talent, Blackadder has himself appointed Official War Artist and hopes to be sent to Paris accordingly; however, Field Marshal Haig's plans don't quite tally with the Captain's expectations...

2. Corporal Punishment
After having trouble with the trenches' telephone system, Blackadder is facing a court-martial for disobeying orders; and far more seriously, shooting and eating Melchett's prized pet pigeon, Speckled Jim. Is there any hope for the Captain, or does a firing squad and certain death await?

3. Major Star
Melchett instructs Blackadder to organise a concert party in order to raise the troops' morale, following the Russians' withdrawal from combat. However, the General takes a particular liking to George's drag act, which could put a halt to proceedings...

4. Private Plane
Blackadder's latest plan to escape the terror of the trenches is to join the glamorous world of Lord Flasheart in the Royal Flying Corps.

5. General Hospital
With the Germans aware of every one of the British army's moves before they've even made them, General Melchett tracks the source to a spy in the nearby hospital. Blackadder is called upon to root out the Kraut snoop and bring him to justice.

6. Goodbyeee
The time has finally come to go "over the top" and face the dreaded Hun on the battlefield. George is thrilled by the prospect, but Blackadder is still less than enthusiastic and resolves to call in an old trick and a long-standing favour owed to him by Field Marshal Haig...
